Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has provided 45 wireless handsets with five base stations to help agencies undertaking relief operations in their telecommunication needs, said a press release issued here on Tuesday.

The PTA has sent these Walky Talkies along with their accessories to Muzaffarabad and Mansehra areas. These sets have especially been imported from Japan keeping in view the requirements of relief teams in quake-hit areas.

The VHF wireless handsets are equipped with five base stations, which would be installed in affected regions.-PR
